If I can get $64 million, I will sing the praises of the PAP till my last breath.
You must be kidding. I have not gotten any salary or even free points for the past 12 months! :(
If I can get $64 million, I will sing the praises of the PAP till my last breath.
By what yardstick can Sam ever say that they are capable?
PAP is a huge disappointment even in the paid IBs they hire. Can't argue convincingly and have to resort to distortion, distraction, name calling, etc. If I were the one who hire these fools, I'll sack them to hire better ones. Not only are they a waste of resources their arguments make PAP seems less credible.
WongMengMeng, all of us already confessed that we are PAP IB.
At least PAP pays GD, Lock, me and many others PAP IB double for working on public holidays.
Based on my pap ib database, one of sammyboy nick is the current changi chalet warden. If WMM and his clones continue to waste our time, the warden will have special treatment for the tikko cheapo new inmate.
Cut to the chase and you'll see what a good job the PAP is doing. Despite being a small Island with no natural resources, it punches way above its weight in many sectors.

You forget to add 149th in free media. They doctor the figures also like that. Thats why you should always take what they write with a pinch of curry.
I fully support the control of the media. In fact, it is because of the control of information that law and order can be maintained and foreign investment inflows are a result of the stability and security.
As parents, you wouldn't allow your children to read all sorts of rubbish. Same applies to governments running a country.
Governing a country is a balancing act and the PAP has got the formula just right.
Please do not call PAP supporters dogs. It is thanks to them that you have a roof over your head and food on the table.
Please do not call PAP supporters dogs. It is thanks to them that you have a roof over your head and food on the table.
The following is an example of how PAP utilizes the media:
What the government is doing is wielding traditional media as their propaganda mouthpiece. Let's face it, they is a lack of objectivity when criticism of the government is practically non-existent in traditional media and rosy pictures consistently painted with figures. Ruling party MPs are never censured and their mistakes do not get glorified like the above article. Did you realise Singapore has 2 million more immigrants by counting the foreigners you meet or from the newspapers or TV. They keep it all hush hush, until they can do so no longer.
Furthermore, negative data gets a spin, the figures they quote do not paint the whole picture. One example is when they announced a cap of 20% on foreigner intake in local universities awhile ago. After reading through the article, you realise that the 20% cap is for foreigners, which does not include PRs or naturalised citizens. So clearly, this figure is deflated to give a positive spin, and also, the government have left a loophole for themselves, if you convert all the foreign scholars to PRs under a new fast track PR scheme, they can still get away with it.
Newspaper editors are also told to toe the line or lose their jobs.

The best example is the 20% foreigner cap that you mention. The opposition trie to imply that PRs and naturalised citizens are still foreigners which is an absolute lie. PRs aren't foreigners. They are permanent residents which makes them locals. I have PR in NZ and I'm not treated as foreigner. I'm treated 100% as a New Zealander which includes the right to vote in all elections.
By the measurable results. I've emphasised this many times over. People get too emotional and too personal when it comes to attacking the PAP.
However, if you take the indices which reflect the health and wealth of the citizens, all of them point to the fact that the PAP is doing an excellent job.
