although i'm a cyclist sympathizer as cyclists are at a disadvantage when there's an accident involving vehicles, lorry driver has a possible defense. he can claim he momentarily lost orientation when his left rear mirror was suddenly dislodged or got hit, and he tried to swerve towards curb as it was a safety precaution for all motorists to move to curb when something happens, and since left rear mirror was damaged or dislodged he couldn't see cyclist.
