If there are enough high rollers to go around, LJ and RS wouldn't have sunk during the early stages. I would think those big players will have all the needs taken care of by the IRs, with free hotel rooms,meals and entertainment. Why would they want to go to such cruises?

LW is on the right strategy to target the masses, but this cruise is really old and had seen better days. Long overdue to do some revamp and spruce it up. Sure to attract even more players to go onboard.

When OG management sank then LW will lease over from the Japanese owner. LW can recover some money back from Natsteel for steel scrap like the expiry old cars deliver for scrapped. OG is a good n clean ship and certainly with LW management biz will be much brighter.

To run a operational cruise ship is definitely with HUGE overheads, wonder how long will this new cruise be able to stay afloat.

Thanks for the up date. 180 pax doesn't sounds so bad. I don't think the Virgo has that many in their casino. There Baccarat $10, Roulette $2, Pontoon $5. If Buy-in $500 chip then same as free ferry.

OG max 180 pax only weekend, Saturday or Sunday. Weekday average 90 pax. If u take 6pm or 6.45pm ferry on weekday, u like a VIP alone chartered a ferry to ship. I agreed this ship will not last long here!!

Went to OG this morning. Was planning to do a day trip, took morning ferry at 9.40 and reached at 1050. Change in return ferry timing 11am then next at 5pm!?
Played pontoon baccarat and slots. Was up about $800 with a br of $1000 but because there was no earlier return ferry so played on until end up lost winnings and br. Couldn't withdraw as no atm/cc services so had to just wait and watch ppl play.

Overall a bad experience. I think I will stick to lw cruise or rws and mbs

Went on the OG today, Thursday. Counted total 25 pax on the 12.20 pm ferry. Return at 5.10 pm with about 100 pax. Remaining players must be about 100 on the last 7+pm ferry. Ship was not operating the previous 2 days. So I don't know how to read into this.
Nice ship. Cannot compare LW with this ship. Different class completely.
The table min is $20 which is double Virgo. So I don't think the uncles and aunties would just want to pass away their time there.
Would I go again. Probably not. But have to see what my regular Virgo does next year. Still have 3 more free cruises and 2 paid with points up to the end of the year on the Virgo.

How about the food there?

The food is surprisingly poor or very basic. About I/3 of food court mix rice dishes. Thought with a nice ship I would get decent food. Big let-down.
They have a sleeping lounge with fold down lay flat seats for $5 per night. Ferry time journey is about the same as LW.

Virgo paid members to go on the ship.
They offered $50K prize money lucky draw with free balcony suite for invited members.
They offered some NTUC members who cruise before free cruises. Told this was based on SC lottery.
Other members like myself cruise for free due to some gambling played in previous cruises.
Last week cruise had 1500 pax and this week 1900 and they said the ship is fully booked. Capacity for Virgo 2400.
Problem for regular cruisers is that they offered so many free cruises but members cannot book because the ship is full till the end of the year and the comp cruises are valid only up to the end of the year.
Next year the points redemptions for booking have been raised sky high by SC.
Can anybody make any sense of what SC is doing.

LW = predicted should be 800-1K pax due to better marketing strategy
From reliable souces Monday - Friday OG average less than 120 pax
Over night players in gaming hall = see to believe
OG cabin rate = crazy rate
* No house rolling
* Junket rolling must bet min $100 table
A fact that OG is a much better clean ship but poor management.
LW is a very old 40+ years ship and still very packed. Why ? Simply good management. LW is already long over-due awaiting to scrap. If LW buy over OG and upgrade 100 new cabins at roof will left only one horse race.

LW easily have 800-1000 players during weekend constantly. Pasir Gudang everyday average 150 pax.
LW member buy-in 1k non-chip get 1 free cabin. Although cabin is smelly but at least indirectly "FREE" with buy in and have proper sleep.
OG cabin rate is crazy and must check-out by 9am. and gaming hall has less than 5 players after 10pm.
Rolling only for $100 Bacarrat table.
Wait long long for big leg! Perhaps $200 one bet consider big leg! No more credit from HH. Players with trust worthly will visit IRs not LW or OG.
Just pay $100 casino levy and bet 2 games and reach home within an hour.
OG is a clean ship but poor management. OG is still waiting for Arab to go there!
