A few days ago, I took a COMFORT taxi driven by a gentleman in his late 50's
He was a former manager who was laid off and became a taxi driver. He had been a cabbie for the past 7 years.
He related a story about how he received a letter to collect a "special gift" from Comfort Garage at Sin Ming Road.
He was so elated about that gift that he took his wife and a daughter to the COMFORT premises mentioned.
What he received from the staff as he drove up was a "worthless clutch bag" that would even have hurt people like Tin Pei Ling.
On top of that he was given a small red envelope with the word, "Especially For You".
His wife opened it thinking that it contained a $50 note.
What she found was a "silly note" with the words "A Gift For You".
On opening it she found the words, "In celebration of Our 10th Anniversary - COMFORTDELGRO"
He was so infuriated that he threw the "Cheapo" bag and stupid envelope along Sin Ming Road.
What is COMFORTDELGRO thinking about the poor cabbies that toil day and night in the face of imminent danger on our roads?
According to the poor driver, that bag and "red-packet" could have been donated by some of their (COMFORTDELGRO) contractors FREE of Charge....
A company which pays millions to their top honchos offer peanuts to their "operators".
