Again, KBW is shooting himself in the foot and gets further and further lost in the housing arena.
"As the chief supplier of homes, the Housing Board should set the price of public housing, rather than take its cue from the resale market."
Setting the price of HDB will correct the housing landscape? Without corresponding changes to policy will make the whole exercise look stupid. Everybody knows HDB affects private property prices and vice-versa, except KBW.
Markets will adjust itself. Trying to armtwist the market will have its consequences further down the road. The right way is to set polict and allow markets to set its own prices.
So what's the right policy? I'm not telling cause I'm not paid million dollar salary to come up with hare-brained changes that will forever trap suckers into their perpetual slavery.
