Thank God the Singaporean Volunteers arrived home safely from their Carribean rendezvous.

Their good intentions are not questioned.

But their joyous return did not change one bit the questionable wisdom of flying them in when coordination of relief efforts are not sufficiently in place.

Viewing the photos, the CityCare volunteers could well be caught in the crossfire of rioters looting, with blood flowing all over their faces.

But I guess either way, they will return as heroes or martyrs.

Kudos to the govt for a sense of geopolitical reality & contribute US50K in commensuration to amongst other considerations, our still recession-plagued economy.

A dentist and 2 dental nurses flew to a village in the Philippines many years a ago. I think they spent some weeks there. They volunteered after a request from a Philippines Senator to Singapore International Foundation. They came back and gave an interview to the local press. Same foundation sent a bunch of Singaporeans to teach English to kids in Nepali villages. One of them told me that he wasted his time. The Nepalis did not need them.

Stories like these are plentiful. You seldom hear stories where lawyers and doctors volunteers their time to help the needy in Singapore. These are the true heroes. They don't seek publicity.

Doing good works is part of the Law and living righteous. Helping the Haiti's in distress is right. But spreading Jesus as the saviour along the way is wrong.

Again, i reiterate, the bible in english is rigged and deviously changed to suit jesus and make out as if God prophecised. it is the fools gold.

I am the most dangerous person to this over confident mega churches. They have successfully milked god's laws (truth words) and mix it to suit jesus magic show. Thats why christianity has thrived so much at the expense of the chosen race - the jews.

It is a surprise to me that the City Harvest Church IB had not deployed sapper teams in this forum to counter attack revelations of their deeds. Perhaps the reputation system and with it, the banning privilege is effective after all. Money can't buy that here unlike in Delphi. And the fact that cloning is the norm here discourages any attempts to silence and assassinate detractors as it would be an exercise in futility.
