We are for any and every progress of nations and communities the world over - however, the inhumane acceptance of injustice, whether by individuals, or by instituitions should not be allowed where possible. Every human being is somebody's loved one. A child, a parent, a sibling, a friend. These are people with feelings, emotions, relations - AND NOT JUST A NUMBER.
Whether this took place in PRC, or any other country - it cannot be tolerated. From the parents leaving the child to wander around, to the culprit who ran over the child, to the people who went by totally oblivious to the accident, it is just uncivilised, inhumane, and totally void of compassion.
