Ha..Ha..Ha.... Thats what I told the Uncle back then, that maybe the Bangla will make curry out of the python.. He replied that the Bangla can do anythin he likes to the snake as long as it didn't enter his house again..

I eat anything edible and available except human. Crocodile meat is good too. I've tried it in Australia. It tastes somewhere between cuttlefish and mutton. It can be cooked in a pot of soup or skewered and grilled. There's also dried crocodile jerky, Australian version of bakkwa.

Can send our Lau hero Ah Ram to catch the croc.. Should put Leetahbar as a bait to lure the crocs..

There's no need to bait a crocodile, as I understand from Australian crocodile hunters. In fact, baiting makes it more aggressive, dangerous and harder to catch because there's food at stake. The usual modus operandi is to ambush in silence and catch it by surprise at its most relaxed moment.

When I was in Vietnam years back on a job trip, my colleagues went into this restaurant.. I unknowingly tagged along.. When I saw a pic of a snake on the windows of the restaurant, I quickly make my way out of there and instead had my meal and beer all alone at a roadside stall..:o

Reservior...yes...but watch it at Sungei Buloh...there r real croc there...moi once spotted it 2 yrs ago...took a photo of it...din turn out well coz under thick veg...was quite near n no way moi gonna use de flash...in fact moi friend think moi insane 2 even walk near it...u can ask those ranger there...dey r aware of it presence...

Only birds have drumsticks. A crocodile isn't a bird. Bird drumsticks are more tenderly delicious than other body parts because only two legs support a disproportionally huge body whether landed or taking off in a flight, even for birds that don't fly, e.g. duck, chicken, turkey etc.

Yes.. Crocs sightings are quite common at Sungei Buloh.. Many people takin photos there managed to get a glimpse of these crocs swimming there.. Some can also be seen at the mangroves..

Most Aussies are very knowledgable about snakes since Australia is the home to many of the world's poisonous snakes.. My mom in law used to have problems with these snakes slithering in the longkang outside her house near to Changi's Mariam Way.. Sometimes, a stray small python would make its way to her garden during the monsoon season.. She had to call the pest company a few times to eradicate the problem.. Few years ago, her next door neighbour found a 2 m long python lying behind his TV rack.. Luckily he was alerted by it thru his dog's barking..Being a retired ex Guards officer, he duly grabbed hold of the python, put it in a pillow case, and tied it up.. He later handed it over to a Bangla road sweeper to be released back into the wild..

bro, my in-laws are staying at Mariam too! And yes, there have been cases of pythons in their compound too. Luckily thus far, they are just small ones. They have stupidly killed a few of them over the years. I told them not to kill them anymore and to alert me when they find any. I am fine with smaller pythons, but not any other snakes. I have also seen Oriental Whip Snakes there amongst the trees there too. At my own place, our gardener have seen Black Cobras just beyond our compound. Called the pest control but could not locate. Fucking scary.

At the nearby Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve, a few estuarine crocodiles have visited over the years, appearing in the water or at the mudflats away from the visitor routes.

I was there with my family, walking happily along the trails. A middle sized croc dashed acrossed our path about five meters away. It was crossing from one body of water to another. We were so thrilled to have seen it. Of course there were a lot of water monitor lizards there too, but the croc was the highlight of the trip.

Recently my in law's neigbour warned us to be careful of this vacant plot of land that used to be an Esso kiosk just opposite the Changi prison.. He found a Cobra slithering towards the bushes there while walking his dog.. I now make it a habit to wear jogging shoes while walking the dog there..

They are supposed to build some houses on that plot. Its fenced up now. I also walk there regularly, not aware there are cobras there. Its the clearing of the forest near the Jap school, that drove out all the wild life.

Singapore has been a natural habitat for snakes since eons ago. Even in old PA as trainees, we had quite a number of snakes in barracks and Coffee Hill jogging areas. Who needs snake catching lesson in PA course syllabus? Just scare it away or kill it bare handed. To be more accurate, when unarmed, shoe legged, just aim properly and stomp on it a few inches down its neck. But to qualify, there were neither pythons nor cobras, just small bush snakes. There was once a most hilarious incident. One night, an Indian trainee came out jumping and screaming cock-and-butt naked from the toilet, of course raising alarm through the bunks and all rushed in. A snake had crawled up through the toilet bowl when he was shitting. The was still gliding nonchalantly on the ground. One joker laughed and said dey, thought you Indian expert with snake? Want us to do it for you? Our Indian squadmate recomposed himself, said he was taken by surprise, grabbed his baton and killed the snake.
