Bible Plagarism: Similarities between Eve and Pandora Box?

Genesis 3 in the Bible tells the story of how Eve ate from the tree of knowledge, which God forbade her to do, and this act released evil into the world. This is similar to the myth of Pandora's Box. Pandora was the first woman (like Eve) created by the Greek gods. Like Eve, Pandora was created in the image of her creator. Pandora opened a box she was told not to open (like the fruit Yahweh told Eve not to eat) and once she opened the box, evil came out of it. Both Pandora and Eve were curious and tempted, and both the ancient Greeks and Christians (with the idea of Original Sin) use their disobedience to God to explain why disease, sickness and sin exists in the world. Historically, the Jews flourished in ancient Greece, so they would have been aware of the myths and stories relating to Greek gods.

Adam and Eve: Big God gives Adam and Eve an apple (on a tree) and tells them both never to eat it. One Day Eve has a snake talk to her and say she should eat it. She is temped and does it. Then all bad things about humans come out.

VERY similar. And Pandora's box is... 3000 years old, well it is a lot older than Adam and Eve.

Christian myth vs Greek myth

Similarities:

Both start with just men, and everything is fine.
A supreme being (God and Zeus) make woman
Both women are warned not to do something-- Eve, not to eat from The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, and Pandora, not to open the box
Both women do what they're not supposed to do
Bad things happen-- evil is released to the world, and nothing is as perfect as it was

Differences:

In Pandora's box, men were happy without women, while in Genesis, God created Eve because Adam was lonely and needed a companion
While Adam and Eve's God made Eve out of love for humanity, Zeus made Pandora to punish humanity
Eve wanted to be like God, and was tempted, while Pandora was being curious

The stories of Pandora & Eve, Source of Evil or Source of Life

Both Pandora and Eve are often seen as and portrayed as the sources of evil. Their characters are depicted as villainous or vindictive women. They are blamed for the misfortunes of the world. But is this representation true or fair? Can we rather see both Pandora and Eve as not sources of evil but rather the source of life, prosperity and fertility. Or even can we blame only them for the unleashing of evil within the world.

In both of these stories although the women carried out the task of bringing the sin or misfortune into the world, they weren't the only ones who played a part so why should they get all the blame? In Hesiod's telling of Pandora Zeus was who designed and planned for her to be created with this purpose, he is the one who is responsible for unleashing the evils into the world as it was his providence to do so. This is the same with the telling of Eve and the temptation, the Serpent or Satan as he represents tempted or tricked her into eating the fruit he wanted her to do this in order to bring sin into the world. Although they are not the only ones to blame due to common interpretations and patriarchal stereotypes the women are blamed and held accountable.
