The way that the oppo IB here tries to silence their critics is no different from LKY's methods of the past. If it wasn't for me, this forum would be 100% opposition territory and the pro government voices would be non existent.

At the end of the day, I only have one aim and that is to make the forum interesting so that whoever posts here and regardless of the opinions they express, their opinions receive as many page views as possible.

However, at the end of the day, it serves no purpose for me to restrict rather than encourage participation in this forum.

Unlike the good old days where forums were one of the few places to air ones views, people now have a whole host of options when it comes to expressing their opinions on line. There's facebook, twitter, blogs, wordpress based sites etc. The choice is almost endless.

I therefore take nothing for granted. The fact that in spite of all the choice, people actually choose to sign up for an account here and post a combined total of between 1000 to 1500 messages daily expressing a whole range of opinions means that I have an obligation to ensure that everybody has a chance to be heard.

Every single one of those messages that is not spam or graffiti is valuable to me and that includes messages that curse me to hell.

It is for this reason that I play are role in adding reputation points in order to encourage as much participation as possible.

It does not matter where you lie in the political spectrum. As long as you choose sammyboy.com to express your views, you are a valuable member of this community.

If you know of a nick that has been silenced unfairly, just let me know. I try my best but I can't oversee everything. I do miss some of the shenanigans as I am now a one man show. All my mods have deserted me.
