Anything About Taiwan

He's the expert in HK, at least in this forum anyway. Don't expect him to be the expert in every country.
The expert in Taiwan is QSD.

I'm more familiar with Thailand than Taiwan. But I will become an expert i Taiwan soon.

Btw, I plan to get a Nissan Tiida Sports in Taiwan (Nissan Latio).

No, Hanyu Pinyin won't do. I need traditional Chinese characters.

If Amber Guo is 郭采潔, then I can confirm her singing sucks big time. No power at all, and her pronunciation is not crisp enough. She tends to 'swallow' her words.

GMS went to Taiwan and proclaimed that Taiwan is part of China. He almost got killed by the mob but with his military training, he managed to escape without much scathing.

Taiwan was part of China, acknowledged and formalised in Taiwan, China and internationally since Zheng Chenggong kicked the Dutch out of Taiwan during the Ming Dynasty. Qing Dynasty China conceded Taiwan to Japan after the 1st Sino-Jap War, also internationally acknowledged and formalised. Taiwan became a Japanese colony until their 1945 unconditional surrender. They surrendered everything non-Japanese in origin including Korea, Taiwan and wherever else they'd conquered.

The Chinese terroritories occupied by Japan including Taiwan were surrendered to ROC, not PRC. Through subsequent civil war, PRC won almost everything back except Taiwan.

You don't carry his balls blindly. Put him on a bathroom scale first and next see what was his latest 2.4 km run.

until now china still regards taiwan as a renegade island only ok not even a country.
蒋介石 was the founder of taiwan when they broke off from mainland china's communistic dictatorship.

Yes, it is.
She is cute, acting in cute roles is not bad.
But there are many much better singers than her.

Jenny Tseng has made a few appearances on Jacky Wu's shows (in preparation for her upcoming concert). She definitely sets the benchmark for professional singers.

Jenny Tseng is definitely a "real singer", with a rich and powerful voice.
Those I mentioned earlier are actors/actresses, celebrity idols, who happen to sing a little and were given opportunites to release albums because of their popularity. There are too many of such artistes around.
Even people like Zhang Qingfang and Lin Huiping who have returned to Taiwan for concerts after long absences are "real singers", who only appear on variety shows to promote their concerts or albums or act in the occasional drama series or movies.

中华民国= 中国。

Taiwan's politics has gone to the dogs. And their judiciary is also under fire. If people's confidence in the Law and Justice collapses, it will be disaster. Recently high court judges were found to be corrupted and investigation is still going on. Apart from that, other aspects of Taiwan is still very attractive, vibrant and interesting. Taiwan is , without doubt, many leaps better than Singapore. It's the environment that shapes the mindset of the people.

I quite like a programme hosted by Xiao Pan Pan called 不可思議的世界. Her name can be misleading coz her boobs are really da and not xiao. I watched them in Youtube. I must say I learnt a lot about the paranormal world from that programme. They invited pathologist, rescue workers, undertakers, ex-police detectives, Taoist masters etc... to share their many unique and interesting experiences. I guess Taiwanese are mainly Taoists as many believe in the existence of spirits and souls afterdeath.

I cannot imagine singaporeans still have to put up with the shit programmes by those mediacock clowns like Mark Lee, Bryan Gay, PornSuck etc.. Very mediocre and sub-standard. Sometimes I see some semblance of Mark Lee's gestures and hosting style to those of a famous Taiwan host. Really turns me off and despise that guy. KNN.

If Mark Lee is good enough to be a Chinese 主播, the standard of the Chinese language in Singapore has gone to the dogs.

That's the ugliest animal I've ever seen on TV. I call and complain, they told nevermind, protected specie, hard to to find anything more ugly.

I would have to politely disagree, bro.
The corruption cases go back several years, it's only because of President Ma and his newly appointed AG/Chief Prosecutor Huang Shiming, that these cases are being investigated and prosecuted.

The environment and entertainment scene is no doubt, more vibrant than SG.
By Pan Pan, do you mean Xiao Pan Pan, the ermmm, big breasted one? :)
Haven't watched that show.

Mediacorp have admitted that SG hosts are not strong, by getting Zheng Guocheng to host the celebrity cooking show and the first season of the singing show. If the Taiwan host you are referring to is Jacky, I'm a big fan of Jacky actually. He's ridiculous but hilarious. Mark and his master Jack have been following Jacky's style for years, they used to cooperate on some programmes many years back. Jack and Mark? Not a fan.

More on Taiwan politics.
The latest development in the county mayor elections is the former Green party man Yang Qiuxing quitting the party and standing as an independent in larger Kaoshiung. Yang was the mayor of Kaoshiung county while Chen Ju was mayor of Kaoshiung city, but the former lost in the party internal elections to the latter.

Yang now claims to be going for the middle ground vote, which is interesting because Taiwan has historically all been about Blue or Green. Some people are saying that he is only now middle ground because he wants to contest the elections as an independent.

thinking of going Taiwan next year to witness 民國100年 live and take some pictures. hope that their govt have some nice exhibitions on ROC before 1949. think next year their NDP got military parade, can watch too. but those parade we Singapore every year got. :D
