another iconic food centre disappearing soon.....

I think this food court quite new? Was working as a temp staff around there in the 80s and dont remember much about the presence of this food court. I thought the nearby area is mangga kar or mango leg?

The food court first came up with the renovated jalan besar stadium.
Probably to fill the void left by demise of long house (also shifted to there from Thomson).
Underwent a few transformatons then became what is today....was briefly a beer garden as well.

Or eat swee Choon dim sum.
Or the yong tau hoo at earnest coffee shop.
99 turns duck rice also moved there.
New swee kee chicken rice in the vicinity too.
French road char kwayteow.
Famous hokkien restuarant....
Endless list of good food around the area.

sungei road laksa is still situated at kelantan lane coffeeshop, opposite the famous lim ah boy bike accessories shop.

2 months back, I went to Petain to jalan jalan.. Now the old kopitiam besides the main road replaced by an Indian Muslim 24 hr kopitiam.. I had a good hot glass of teh tarik to replenish some lost energy..

Right at the end...One Malaysian lady, I guess in her early 40s called out for me when I was lurking outside.. She told me there were not much customers since it was drizzling that early evening.. I just collected my 4D winnings.. Pitying her I took up her offer..

Looks = 6.5 but can already still some wrinkles on her face..

Age = Probably early to mid 40s..

Nationality = Johore old skool Ah Lian..

Boobs = C cup , allow sucking of her tits but she said only for young men like my age..

BJ = 7 , good service..

Kissing = Yes

Total damage = $30 but I gave her extra $10 for her tip and since I was in a good mood after winning 4D..

House 2 or 26 :D By the way, is the famous hokkien mee stall still around there?

26.. The hokkien mee stall at Serangoon Rd heading towards Bendemeer Rd, Boon Keng MRT?

Any bros remember the murdered WL at Petain Rd few years ago? I still remember walking past the spot where she later staggered and die from her knife wounds.. Saw offerings being made at that spot where she died..

Till today her killer yet to be arrested..

sungei road laksa is still situated at kelantan lane coffeeshop, opposite the famous lim ah boy bike accessories shop.

Many people are mistaken like you. This is a grave injustice to the real sungei road laksa.
The one opposite ah boy is a fake.
It is run by a relative of the coffee shop owner after he conspired and kicked out the real sungei road old brothers.
The real sungei road laksa shifted out from there many years ago.
Currently at nearby block 27.
They do not sell otak like the fake stall.

Yes still uses Banana leaves.
Near the French bistro place and next to chicken rice stall run by ah tiongs.

Coco. All the WLs there had to go CID for interview for this case.

Petain now shadow of former self....only left one row of even numbered houses after latest closure again.
And city square nearby opened up the area now no longer discreet so many customers shun the place.
Going the way of Johore road and Keong siak street....

Correct me if I'm wrong.. Heard the present owner is not related to the old Master..

Old Master handed down skills to his son.. Son took over the stall after his father died.. The son operated it for some time before handing it over to his best friend who also learnt the skills from the original Old Master ..

Last time the old master would sit down on his chair and fried the hokkien mee. The old stall used to be opposite side of the road. I remember there was a unlicensed billiard mass located there too. The stall was eventually taken over by his disciple I think, tasted different already.

Yes that kopitiam used to have pretty good teochew porridge.
Even the bar next door cross the road....the famous golden million also replaced.

I second that. The real one is in the coffee shop facing the open field. Great stuff.
