[h=1]16, 22 & 23 Dec 2012 - Serangoon Division Christmas Celebrations[/h]Updated <abbr title="Sunday, February 3, 2013 at 12:39pm" data-utime="1359866342" class="timestamp">about an hour ago</abbr> · Taken in Serangoon, Singapore
AJCC Serangoon Division organised 3 Christmas Celebration events to cater to the residents of the different clusters of private estates and HDB estates.
16 December 2012 - This Christmas Celebration event was held at Parry Road Playground and attracted a crowd of about 200 residents. It was organised by a group of fun-loving residents with the support from AJCC volunteers on the actual day of the event. There were catered and BBQ food, free flow of popcorn and candy floss, balloon sculpturing, booth games, roving magician, Best Dressed Pet Competition and of course, performances by our very own residents and Member of Parliament, Ms Sylvia Lim.
22 December 2012 - This Christmas Celebration event was held at Chartwell Drive Park on a drizzling evening. Despite the rain, about 80 residents turned up at the event. Residents enjoyed themselves with the booth games and the performances on stage, which include a spectacular magic show by Alexander Yuen, Zumba dance performance, and our very own Serangoon volunteer Choral group singing to the tunes of Christmas songs.
23 December 2012 - This Christmas Celebration event was held in the heartland of the Serangoon North HDB estate, at Hwi Yoh Green Park. About 400 residents turned up for the event. A favourite among the residents was the balloon sculpturing where long queues started to form even before the start of the event. It was heart-warming to see residents interacting among themselves, children playing and running around, and residents clapping and singing along to the Chirstmas songs performed by our Serangoon volunteer choral group. One 6-year old boy even brought candy canes to distribute to his neighbours and our volunteers.
With the tunes of "Feliz Navidad" and "We Wish You a Merry Chirstmas" still resonating in our head after the events, we were already looking forward to the next Christmas celebration with fellow residents in 2013...
