It's been a long while I last took domestic flights in Thailand as I drive most of the time. Off to Khon Karen now.

The domestic TG lounge is rather different from the international as more local food is available here and my fav is Thai cup noodles Mama.

Most farmers cannot afford a pickup truck. To lug their stuff they improvise with a Itan, basically a portable generator truck like this

Phuket beaches are now safe as 'Yanui" is in custody

Phuket’s elusive crocodile has finally been caught at Layan Beach.

The ‘Yanui’ crocodile (named by local Phuket reporters after the original beach it was sighted) has been caught at Layan Beach early today after more than ten days of search operations, sightings, drone photos and lots of people pointing out to sea.

The crocodile was eventually caught by the Surat Thani-based crocodile catching team and local fishermen at 4am with a fishing net near Koh Kata off Layan Beach. The crocodile is now being taken to the Phuket Coastal Fisheries Research and Development Centre in Pa Khlok.

Last year during August ‘Laypang’, a much larger crocodile, was caught at an inland lake in the same area after being sighted swimming offshore.

As I am in Khon Kaen Province and not far away (about 15km) from the Ubol Ratana (simply called Ubonrat) Dam, went there for lunch. The Ubolrat Dam is the first hydroelectricity facility comnstructed in Thailand in 1964.

Near the dam is a temple
