california the state is many times worse than sg in terms of bureaucracy and stymieing innovation, entrepreneurship, and freedom of conducting business. all measures and policies passed by the bozos in sacramento involve high taxation, rampant regulation, bloating of state agencies, micro-management of public schools and education, draconian policying of labor codes, giving themselves power to abuse and mismanage, leverage public projects and state funds for political gain with impunity and immunity. despite the anti-innovation, anti-excellence, anti-freedom, anti-creativity, anti-wealth-generation, anti-wealth-retention policies of the state, individuals and groups continue to fight the system, swim against the bureaucratic tide, think and do outside state and city sandboxes, circumvent rules and regulations to achieve what californians have done today. the market is too big for any state or city to hijack and muscle out individual tenacity to succeed. without city and state govs in the way, californians would have achieve more today. now that silicon valley has proven itself again and again to show the way how the future world can be, the state and cities have no choice but to take a back seat to people having their own way of innovating not only for themselves but for the rest of the world. it has been a long multi-decade battle of wits and grit between state/cities and entrepreneurs, but at the end big money wins as these entrepreneurs (thanks to the u.s. and global markets) become billionaires, and ironically, donors/sponsors of political campaigns.
