I received a worse bite from a cat inside a kopitiam when I was a kid. Nobody kicked up a fuss, we calmly went back home after our meal and my wound was washed with a warm diluted Dettol solution.

That was when soft drinks (including Yeo's drinks) came in glass bottles, the tables were round and moveable/foldable, and the kopitiam was constantly noisy with the shoutings of the drinks seller and the ringings of the coin phone at the stall.

No wonder kids these days grow up to be soft and effeminate. Even sand playgrounds with equipment made of concrete, steel and wood are deemed to be too 'dangerous' for the snowflakes. Sad!
