yes, i hate hanyu pinyin and jiantiji too. it's nonsensical, stupid, and devoid of 6.9k years of culture. when in sg during my younger days i enjoyed learning and writing traditional chinese characters. and then, the stupid gov changed it to follow the prc simplified system. what a fecking mess and disappointment. from thereon i hated anything i learned about chinese writing and literature in sg. it destroyed the love for the chinese language, just like ccp has destroyed true chinese philosophy and culture. however, you can still use the traditional chinese writing system with soft keyboards. apple soft keyboards allow you to choose between simplified and traditional. junk your microshit stuff if you are using it.
Hoorah for you! And clearly you can read and love to read those hundreds years old Chinese carved in granite stones and walls unlike those young punks with their jiantiji. And you need not need to ask Korean or Jap tourists the fucking meanings.
They lied when they say traditioanl chinese too complex and take too long to write.
In Taiwan, I said that to one of my chinese tutors cum bed warmer. (of course uni undergrad).
You know the complex chinese words required to write how much money just like we need to use words to write the amount of money in addition to the arabic form for numbers?
- 0: 〇 (零): líng
- 1: 一 (壹) yī
- 2: 二 (Traditional:貳) èr
- 3: 三 (Traditional:叁) sān
- 4: 四 (肆) sì
- 5: 五 (伍) wǔ
- 6: 六 (陸) liù
- 7: 七 (柒) qī
- 8: 八 (捌) bā
- 9: 九 (玖) jiǔ
- 10: 十 (拾) shí
She wrote the fucking complex chinese characters faster than I could write that in words for say 21,734,258
She challenged me to compete again and this time I to write in Arabic form and she would do that in complex chinese words
I had enough and dragged her to the bed and tiewed and kanned her to stop her nonsence.
I only got into Chinese when I was living and working in Taiwan .
I cannot stand the sight of jiantiji. If anything jiantiji shown to me, I can still read that, But I much prefer to use google translate to change that into fantiji before I read.
