How about getting to the root of the problem and NOT discharge pollutants into the sea at all! Hiding the rubbish further out into the sea does not make it go away. This out of sight out of mind thinking STINKS. The author clearly has politics on his mind.

What eco are you talking about? The Kallang river and it's connected waterways were dead for decades, filthy smelly streams of nothing. Turning it into a freshwater reservoir is the best thing they could have done with it. It is being protected now like all the other reservoirs. And how on...

The laws have always been there, there were just much less cyclists in the past . It's more a matter of motorists not being used to share the roads with others. Times change, it's not hard to adopt.

Bicycles don't pollute the air, create lots of noise, are able to go 250km/h, cause damage to roads, doesn't have passengers and many many other things. It is very fair to make motorists pay.

They focused solely on safety issues like defensive riding and making sure the bicycles we used to cycle to school were roadworthy. I remember getting a sticker for my bicycle at the end of it. I was so proud of it. You have to start training the safety mindset at a young age.
