PM Lawrence Wong on steering Singapore through global change

The PAP is introducing about 30 new candidates as part of its leadership transition under Lawrence Wong, who succeeded Lee Hsien Loong in 2024. This move aims to create a forward-looking team that can address contemporary challenges. By fielding fresh faces, the party hopes to resonate with younger voters and address concerns about living costs, inequality, and governance.
Groupthink will ensure that these fresh faces in the PAP will be too afraid to speak up in case they lose their chance to become Ministers to be financially set for life.

If the PAP wants the votes of the younger generation, then they should not only make same sex marriages legal, but a requirement.

He was a dictator for sure, and no one likes a dictator. But he and his cabinet steered SG in the right direction and he was respected world-wide.
He knew exactly what he was doing. He steered SG to where we are now. He too gerrymandered and removed ministers who resisted his effort at increasing costs for citizens.
All in all he led Singapore to prosperity but set up the groundwork for it's eventual slide. There can be no other trajectory.

LHL believes that the ends (economic growth for S'pore) justify the means (allowing foreigners to displace S'porean PMEs at the workplace).
Long ago LKY said, and I'm paraphrasing, he will do everything in his power to ensure Singapore's survival.

And I immediately caught what he meant.
The key word he used was 'Singapore', but not 'Singaporeans'. That could only mean he will not be focusing on citizens survival, and if there comes a need for replacing the population so that Singapore continues to thrive, he will do it.
And he has actually done it.
So learn the lesson quick. PAP is not for the survival of Singaporeans but only for Singapore.
So the adage rings true is you have PAP in power:
You die, your business.

When the PAP declared that their policy is "Singaporeans First", they included new citizens (mainly from the estimated 650,000 CECAs already here). The PAP is pro-business which means economic growth at all costs (including sacrificing S'porean-born citizens). After all, the ministers' salary and bonuses are tied to how well the economy performs.

Very disgusting government

First in the line cannon flodders?

Global change will come, but remember to side with the right team.

For starters, you can disavow those Davos globalist fuckers. Also consider removing Tharman as the overpaid Istana dog.

But of course you won't. So I expect you, and this island, to get fucked by the mentioned global change.

Cannot be 70% believe he 为国为民not too long ago in a September?

The PAP Ministers and MPs come across as mediocre at best when they introduce new candidates who merely follow the status quo. Mark my words that the policies will be more of the same old, same old, disguised under new packaging. If handing out CDC vouchers just prior to the elections is the PAP's main tactic to restore public confidence, then our leaders are even less than mediocre. Is this the only initiative our million dollar ministers can think of before they unleash even more hardship policies on long suffering S'poreans after this GE?

S'poreans are proud First World citizens who want a say in the future of this nation; stop treating us like animals on the PAP farm to be led and then discarded when the govt wants to woo foreigners to become new citizens. S'pore-born citizens want to be stakeholders in our own land. We want to be authors of our own destiny, to be able to help build, succeed in and to be part of a prosperous S'pore for generations to come. The way the PAP is running this country seems no different from how the Mafia profits from the misery of business owners under the territories that they control.

He can start by being genuine. He is damn fake lor. Come across as insincere and speaking unnatural.

What do you expect from someone who asks his personal hairstylist to dye his hair black?

I am waiting eagerly for him to hire a very senior consultant in dermatology to help him remove those patches of awful discolorations from his face (subject to budget approval by Empress Ho.)

But the majority of the electorate vote the PAP. All the new citizens naturalized within the past decade vote the PAP.

But he and his cabinet steered SG in the right direction and he was respected world-wide.

It was easy for Lee Con You to steer Sinkieland in the right direction because it's just a small red dot on the world map.

He couldn't even prevail against Malaysia and was booted out by the Malaysian cabinet.

His fate would be worse if he had been the president of Indonesia.

The new S'poreans who gain entry through CECA are beholden to the PAP for giving them PME jobs in spite of their dubious qualifications as well as a pink IC. The PAP knew that true blue citizens have seen through their greed and self-serving policies, so they needed to import more votes to continue their years of plunder.

In order for the Govt to be more effective, it needs to recruit people with more diverse skills. When leaders are drawn from a group possessing similar doctrines and ideology, they tend to approach issues by consensus, rather than as independent individuals. Compliance, joint rationalisation, absence of personal accountability and the pressure to accede may follow; often resulting in unchallenged as well as poor quality decision-making.

First of all, they have to free themselves from those old school rules and be dynamic

When “groupthink” is entrenched, it will be difficult for the new PAP candidates to stand up for what they believe. Those who disagree with the dominant interests of the group may be quickly marginalised; this is what happened to Inderjit Singh. On the other hand, wise leaders understand that dissension is crucial to steer clear of groupthink, and should actively address the concerns of those who are bold enough to disagree. As you can see, the PAP doesn't have any wise leaders.
