My 1st house in Australia was a double storey townhouse it is actually not so good because we need to pay body cooperate to look after the house surrounding (like cut the grass and mend the trees) and we cannot do anything outside our house like replace the door paint of plant a rose.
Let say there 20 unit of townhouse and all these 20 unit houses everything must be the same outside their house u cannot modified Anything but inside your house or your garden u can do whatever u want. Well after 4 years we sold the townhouse and bought another house which is not a townhouse and I can do whatever I please heheheee.

If no need to take loan, buying could be better. @The end of the day it depends on your financial standings as to whether buying or renting suits u better.
