Chitchat 6-figure dream job at facebook but cannot afford the bay area

aryan lineage. pundeks in germany claim they are the original contributors of the germanic language. heil-fakh-lutin. :D
southern shit skins claim their language the dravids follow tamil supposedly the most ancient of southern shit skins languaes while for the north it's sanskrit. For some fucking odd reason a lot of ang mohs ignore the southern shit skins and it's actually good for them so even the blackest, aboriginal, veddoid looking shit skin can claim to be aryan all cos it's categorized as "indian" Chinese don't get that no Chinese dog can pretend to be a Jap.

there's now reluctant acceptance by some jap academics that the jap language is closest to dravidian. eventually shitskins will claim everything is out of india rather than africa. anyway, how a thread on a good paying job and housing (un)affordability can devolve into shitskins and origins of language.

to get back on track, sg just made it to number 2 in the top 10 of the world's greatest cities. sf is way down due to traffic and housing issues. at least sg provides affordable housing plus an excellent transit system. bay area leaders should look to sg for some answers that they sorely need.

...Apple has physical products and I know a big % of their staffs are in the call centers .

The Palo Alto campus is where most of the Apple engineers are located. The call centres are dispersed to cheaper locations like Austin Texas

apple hq and main campus with the majority of their brain trust are in cupertino, not palo alto. facebook moved their hq from menlo park to palo alto. google is in mountain view. these 3 cities (big towns actually) are adjacent to and surround sunnyvale where yahoo and linkedin are. apple just bought big parcels of land in north san jose to build their new sj campus. the new spaceship hq is along wolfe road and homestead road in cupertino. the old campus on de anza blvd in cupertino will still be around.

I disagree. The day SF starts adopting Singapore type policies will spell the death of innovation and the triumph of the individual. Every single policy in Singapore is designed to benefit the State over the citizen.

california the state is many times worse than sg in terms of bureaucracy and stymieing innovation, entrepreneurship, and freedom of conducting business. all measures and policies passed by the bozos in sacramento involve high taxation, rampant regulation, bloating of state agencies, micro-management of public schools and education, draconian policying of labor codes, giving themselves power to abuse and mismanage, leverage public projects and state funds for political gain with impunity and immunity. despite the anti-innovation, anti-excellence, anti-freedom, anti-creativity, anti-wealth-generation, anti-wealth-retention policies of the state, individuals and groups continue to fight the system, swim against the bureaucratic tide, think and do outside state and city sandboxes, circumvent rules and regulations to achieve what californians have done today. the market is too big for any state or city to hijack and muscle out individual tenacity to succeed. without city and state govs in the way, californians would have achieve more today. now that silicon valley has proven itself again and again to show the way how the future world can be, the state and cities have no choice but to take a back seat to people having their own way of innovating not only for themselves but for the rest of the world. it has been a long multi-decade battle of wits and grit between state/cities and entrepreneurs, but at the end big money wins as these entrepreneurs (thanks to the u.s. and global markets) become billionaires, and ironically, donors/sponsors of political campaigns.

You lived in US for decades and you still don't appreciate democracy? If California is so bad, it would have been depopulated long time ago. That you are there is an endorsement that California is a great place to live and that the government got it right in creating a place where people want to live.
You list a litany of right-wing crap ...why don't you move to Texas instead?

california is beautiful. she's good, productive, fertile, a fantastic location situated away from the rest of the world on the other end of the pacific. latitude is in the temperate zone, and longitude blesses her a mediterranean climate. the place is great. the gov is crap. the two main reasons why folks love california are her natural beauty and excellent location. it can be run by the pap, and she still will attract the best in the world to live and thrive there. even if trump becomes potus, usurps the constitution and make himself dictator, california and the brain trust in the valley will still innovate and produce technology for the future. the people plus place make the difference. sinkies don't understand that principle because sinkies hardly make any difference.

You choose not to recognize that the California did so much good to make the state a desirable place to live. Democratic government can and does do good. The infrastructure in the state didn't came out of nowhere. The social stability there could not have been possible without government trying to raise the lowest denominator.

Put in a PAP government, it will destroy the state as it changes the constitution, puts its own cronies in the judiciary, remove freedom of press, speech and assembly, have the state governor run the elections.

Fortunately, that will not happen because Americans will not have a dictatorship take root.

Can you adopt me so that I can join you in California? ;-)

you don't understand the politics here. the government is not one, but many heads of the hydra. the federal government funds much of the infrastructure, from interstate freeways to bridges to rail to transit systems. all trans-national power grids and power generation plants are funded by the feds. national parks are funded and run by feds. the entire coast is federal and the coast guard monitors for coastal infractions and conduct rescue ops. farms are federally-subsidized as agriculture is huge in ca and for the national and global markets. the state gov seeks federal funding for state highways and state parks, counties ask for funding from state and fed for county roadways and county parks, cities asks for funding for city roads and city parks. every level of gov from federal to state to county to city is constantly taxing and asking for funding for duplicate, no triplicate, no quadricate infrastructure, parks, and public institutions. that kind of bloated, redundant, multi-layer "democracy" is mind-boggling. i call it 4 courts of hell. administrators of every agency in 4 courts of hell make about usd400k average per year, equivalent to the pay of potus. and there are not hundreds, but thousands of them in any one state. it's the world's largest public gravy train. there are so many admin managers job around in these agencies that the "club" of so called public servants rotate around for higher pay and change of environment every two years. that's not democracy; it's a private club grown over the decades to suck public money, and officials in these agencies are hired, not elected. at the end of it and ultimately it's the people (5% or the brightest and bravest) that build sillycon valley, not the gov. these pioneers have to keep telling the various levels of gov to stay away and keep out of the innovation cycles. ok, granted that the federal gov created advanced labs and university collaboration for advanced scientific studies (r&d mainly for military means) which contributed to the birth of transistors and integrated circuits, but the current software locomotive is chugging along with little help from uncle sam.
