Since the word, LEXUS came out in a Parliamentary discussion, I just wonder how many of our parliamentarians are owners of such an expensive car like Lexus.

This car was introduced into Singapore more then 10 years ago and is more pricier then a Merc during its first introduction here and even today.

I just wonder which parliamentarian was the first to own it then for it will show the status of that person.

Moreover, this is what many readers will want to know.

For a start, LKY used to be driven in the 2nd generation GS, then when the 3rd generation was launched sometime in 05 he had his changed. The current 4th generation model launched last year don't know if he change or not.

(latest model is not as roomy but do look very good, partner just got his last month, nice dashboard and the legendary Mark Levinson stereo).

I seriously do not think Lexus will do such a silly thing for them. For this the Lees will have to depend on the ah-beng shops to do it for them.

Guys guys ... I am totally confused here. This COW praises the EC scheme because it provides affordability to Singaporeans, and then in the very next breath, he says the price will eventually go higher than the Lexus Price.

Not aware who was the first but I know LKY had one previously.

Story I heard was that a senior banker with surname Tan approached the car dealer as he wanted to be the first owner of a Lexus in S'pore. He was told then that it can't be because LKY already owned one. It was sometime in 1992 or 1993.

Actually we can not blame him for being "kuai lan", in the whoreofapress report, they interviewed one "haolian" one that says the 2mil is affordable & a good bye..oops! buy!. Buying the EC unit for his son, who will be returning from his studies overseas...the future PxP candidates??who will tell you in the future, " I am what I am " & his humble beginnings from the shores of kallang river..( so to speak).

wao lau this Khaw like Mah Bow Tan only know to up the price. I remember he asked Singaporean to go JB if they find the medical bill here expensive.

He was paid millions of dollar but show us such lousy performance. Each time to react to each issue, not capable to tackle the matter proactively.
