Body of Missing NSF Found in Brunei.

It is time MINDEF start to compensate the families of those who lost their sons in NS properly. Not some measly 5k or so.

no chance bro, we all signed the indemnity form. You signed it, you forfeited it.

In the past, they pay a monthly hardship payment to the deceased families.
This was subject to yearly review. So at around the death anniversary, mindef will send someone to visit the parents and "assess" whether they are still in need of the payment, thus reminding them year in year out of the unfortunate death of their son.

Not sure if this is still the case.

A life jacket is no life saving device if he fell down and got caught by underwater currents. What exactly happened man to have made him fell into the water

Yes .. I'm curious to know too how he fell into the water in the first place..

He was feeling groggy due to Fasting and the morning heat?

Or maybe there's somethin sinister lurking inside that water?

PRs and Foreign Talent are very fortunate not to have to be exposed to these sorts of risks.:(

They should be extremely grateful to Singaporeans for protecting them for free during their stay.

If you ask PAP MP for help, this is what may happened. FYI the MP in this article is Chan Soo Sen :

By Lawrence Loh
It started with MP Seng Han Thong being set on fire. Then came MP Denise Phua who was threatened by a rag-and-bone man. Now it is MP Cynthia Phua who was subjected to a display of violence by a constituent.
.
Although these incidents are disturbing and a cause for concern, I wonder whether the constituents are solely to be blamed. Allow me to relate my personal experience. In February 2001, my older son died in a naval accident whilst serving National Service. In that year, my younger son was due for enlistment. A friend, a very active grassroots member, suggested that I approach my MP, for help in exploring the possibility of getting an exemption for my younger son. I was reluctant but he went ahead to fix an appointment for me at the Meet-The-People Session (MPS). I subsequently relented and he accompanied me there.
..
It was in March 2001. That was my first appearance at a MPS, and it was to be my last.I waited until midnight before I could meet the MP. Prior to this, he was given the case paper which detailed the objective of the meeting and the circumstances of my case. When I entered the room, his first remark was “Yes, what can I do for you?”. There was no attempt at offering a word of sympathy or condolence. I then related my situation and said that both my wife and I were very traumatised. His next remark was:“What traumatic? After two months, you won’t be traumatic.”. With that, I decided to end the meeting. And with that, my respect for him hit ground zero. I was too stunned and grief-stricken to react.

After few days, the body could already be in a bad state..

I wonder if any post mortem had been carried out after they found the body?

Any croc bite marks being inflicted on the body?

What's the actual cause of his death? Drowning or as a result of a croc attack?

You don't fool around in the remote rivers of Brunei.. That place is infested with crocs.. Being afloat in that kind of river is like handing out free makan buffet to the crocs..

I would rather we dump our numerous useless Brigadier Generals into that river and let the hungry crocs feast on them..

So close to where he was missing? Shouldn't they start the search from where he was missing? If so, why wasn't he found earlier?
Could he have survive if found earlier?

This is akin to the Mas Selamat case. They went around the island to search for him but he was at his father's house.

Not really, its about right. The body will sink into the water. Than after a few days, the gases in the decomposing body causes the body to bloat up, and it ends up rising to the surface. That's why its near the spot he was missing from. Body is probably a mess and usually drowning cases are the worse. Poor chap. RIP.

Body of LCPL Muhammad Fahrurrazi finally found on early Tuesday morning. Defence Minister Chicken Ng has a lot of explaining to do.

SINGAPORE: The body of the late Lance Corporal Muhammad Fahrurrazi Salim was found at 2:55am on Tuesday morning in Batu Apoi river in the Temburong training area in Brunei.

One of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) search parties, which had continued the search throughout the night, found the body about 200 metres from where he was first reported missing.

The body of the 20 year old will be flown back to Singapore in the afternoon for a military funeral.

Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen has written a letter, on behalf of the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) and the SAF, to the family of the late Lance Corporal Fahrurrazi expressing deepest condolences for their loss.

MINDEF is assisting the family in their time of grief.

A full investigation will be conducted on the incident.

MINDEF has also thanked the Royal Brunei Armed Forces for their assistance in the search operations.

Ng Eng Hen should donate his full years' salary to the family plus promote the LCP to BG. That guy has served and done more than the arm chair fake generals.

Was this guy attacked by aliens?

Kinana, everyone knows you have a young son. You have talked about him before. U better pray he don't die during NS. because bros in this forum will make fun of him, like you did to this boy. U truly are a pathetic fuck. The quality of assholes ST is hiring these days is damn low.

Usually, these guys are all wearing life vests in the safety boats. I find it very strange that even after falling into the water, the life vest did not keep him afloat. And why couldn't he swim? Was he already unconscious when he hit the water? Unless, he was not issued a life vest, which would be the fault of the perm staff and can be considered negligent. In that case, it explains why they fly a team out from Singapore to conduct SAR rather than the CO of the Perm staff attachment.

I don't think we'll know the full details on the condition of the body.. MINDEF will do their investigations in a hush hush affair..

Read that the deceased was wearing a life jacket.. I don't think his death is due to drowning..

the new report that his life jacket was not inflated. i used that b4 during BX water evacation drill. trust me, once inflated, confirm rise to the surface. the only thing not sure was the life jacket malfunction or now. maybe the gas cylinder broke so cannot inflate the life jacket. knowing SAF, maybe the gas cylinder attached to the life jacket expired.
