MOH must quarantine ALL those who was at the event at Safra Jurong and not wait for them to be tested and infected

The SPF dare make that charge? The IO dare write such a report.....they don't have the balls..
Up to now, even the mainstream media do not have the guts to publish the names of those who allowed this stupid event to proceed. There is zero accountability!

This I agree & how BIG was the PRIVATE gathering, from the MOH statistics on RC's CC's to be cleansed, sounds quite large. Anyway, these people & their organizations needs to be cleansed. They have to tear their clothes, put on sackcloth & cry to the Almighty.,, hmm!!!

There is no reason to cancel events because the virus is pretty mild in most people.

There is more of a risk driving to the event than the event itself. Road accidents kill more people per year in Singapore than the corona virus will.

If a member of the public cannot just walk in then it is a private event. The only people who are fools are people like you who try to distort issues for political gain.
What the use of discussion whether private or public event? Does virus stay away from public event? The infextion happen and lets move on

Most residents who get the covid virus not even realise they are infected because the infection causes only mild symptoms or no symptoms at all in the majority of those infected.

A risk factor is a risk factor. If my probability of dying from activity A is greater than from activity B it goes without saying that A is more risky than B. You cannot argue with the laws of probability because they have stood the test of time.

You only get Four masks, that is already a lot of charity from them, be thankful!

Why are you so unyielding and repetitious?

I have to be in order to knock some sense into those who are spreading fear and grossly exaggerating the dangers. All it does is upset people and cause unnecessary anxiety. It is also affecting the livelihood of those running businesses in order to feed their families.

Indeed, Leongsam's reasoning is flawed.

The concept of risk must be tempered by factors like what we can, and what we cannot control.

Majority of people cannot choose to commute on the subway on a daily basis. They cannot also choose to keep their kids at home.

However, people CAN choose not to attend large scale social functions. They can choose to avoid crowded shopping malls and avoid eating at restaurants and fast food joints for the time being.

If it is within your ability to reduce risk, then you should go ahead and do that.

Leongsam's reasoning that many things in life pose greater risk (than the WuFlu virus) is flawed because many things can't be controlled and so that risk is simply accepted.

People are at liberty to choose whether or not they want to go to large gatherings. Those who don't want to risk it can stay home. Those who realise that the risk is low can choose to go.

There is no need to cancel gatherings just make it an individual's choice to attend or not to.

People already accept the risk of catching flu which can be just as deadly because it is part and parcel of life. The coronavirus will soon become part of the family and life will go on.

By your "logic", we may as well legalize all manner of opioids, since after all people are at liberty to choose whether or not they wish to use (abuse) them.

What boss sam said has its point.
Many people don't want government to control them.
They wanted freedom to choose free will.
Why now suddenly want government step in to set up control barriers etc.

I commented base on neutral standing. Not pro government.
