Do you think Tan Cheng Bock has chance to be the next president?

If Sinkies had any balls and/or brains, someone like Chee Soon Juan should be the next president. Or even Tan Jee Say.

People who are willing to take on the establishment, have indeed taken them on in one-on-one elections previously (non 3 corner fights) and are willing to speak up for Singaporeans.

No more of those former pap members, former civil servants or former pap scholars please.

TJS may just enter the fray again even though he knows he is history. Last GE results for him triple confirmed that. Given his recent return to prominence, dont rule out Lim Boon Heng. His Temasek appointment is fishy as if preparing him for something big.

TJS will not have the chance, he is not malay. He can't be a spoiler again. The next PE, PAP will raise a malay president! Very likely.

hahaha....any candidate not under the papee umbrella will win hands down....
TCB by cleverly dis-associating from papee in PE 2011 will win easily in PE2016/17 if there are no other independent candidates...this 1 as clear a daylight..

It appears that his appointment at T Holdings, may be to reward him for his past allegiance, or as you allege, something big.
If it is based on his history, he may not be an individual of character befitting a President.

An individual who has been bankrupt is not eligible.
Accordingly, CSJ does not qualify.
In addition, I believe that CSJ, does not meet the criteria, such as former Chair or CEO of a big corporation (more than $100 million paid up capital), former Minister, Perm Secretary, AG, Accountant General, etc.

That's right. No point mentioning names of people who dont qualify.

Low Thia Kiang would be a good choice too, he has the interests of Singaporeans at heart. However he is so super-cautious, he'll need to redraft his presidential address 50 times.

In any case, someone like Tan Jee Say would still be better than Tan Cheng Bock. At least Jee Say had the courage to take on the pap in 1 on 1 election contest (no 3 corner fight). Definitely no more former pap members or former pap scholars please.

If there is a PE and a 2cf between tt and Tcb I don't think Tcb will gain the upper hand because of the incumbency advantage of TT. Furthermore it erroneous for people to assume that people who voted tkl and tjs will mostly vote Tcb this time.

As for TJS, he has the perception problem as public opinions view him as opportunist.

Like CSJ, tjs is unelectable be it GE or PE .

TCB once said that if elected President, he would kick out LHL from having his PMO inside Istana grounds. PM should not have his office in the Istana!

Then you misunderstood the role of Presidency. His job is to just to cut ribbons and act presidency even though that is considered too easy from the eyes of sinkies peasants. He is not meant to fight for any sort of interest just like the monarchy in Thailand and UK.

That job description is right out from the pap playbook, so I have not misunderstood anything.

Of all the potential presidential candidates we know of, TCB has the best chance because of his past PAP credentials. Other fucktards like Tan Jee Say and Tan Kin Lian have no chance. TJS would not be able to be a spoiler this time. I think he will lose his deposit if he throws his hat into the ring. Grassroots intel says that most opposition cocksucker deeply regretted voting for TJS. They would definitely prefer Bock over KFC.
