Fusoh first of all the right person to advise you about Pattaya is Chonburifc who is s resident there. Anyway even before you think about doing business here and or living here long term you have to think about the VISA. I believe the immigration in Thailand allows you, a Singaporean, to live in Thailand a maximum of 90 days per year and only maximum 30 days each time. There are many ways to get around this rule but I am not sure how to do it because I have a work permit so this does not apply to me.

If you are not fussy, rental for an apartment, a nice clean room I mean with aircon and maybe internet connection and cable TV could be as little as 5000 baht per month onwards. Makan per day if you not fussy 200 baht will be more than sufficient. Minimum salary is 300 baht per day or about 9000 baht per month.

Hi Fusoh, suggest coming here and stay for a longer period, say 1-2 months. Rent an apartment, a bike or car and move around. Not all will like the surreal place after prolong period of staying here although there are some, like me who came and refused to pack up go home. :p

A plesant surprise after being away from office for almost 2 months. Desk and area are well kept and clean. My staff also got a new 'all in one' pc for me as i have previously complained to her about the small notebook screen. A little paiseh cos' i don't really use the office. Maybe once or twice a month.

Don't anyhow say hor. Seriously, know people from this industry. Not an easy job. Here no weekly or monthly collections, purely daily. One Sinkee runroader was in this biz but quited cos' too many problems.

Hehehe. Pantry (not in the picture) is just 2 meters away but I banned smoking (including myself) in the entire office premises.

Re: Today's slice of big mango?

Anyone like to have authentic Japanese food should go to Thaniya just next to the infamous Patpong. This area is frequent by all Japanese expats. A nice restaurant is tucked at a corner (literally) of Thaniya known as Nabeserina. I'm now here and obviously started with some a nice bottle of sake
