YY, if by bus to Nakorn Sawan, think it will be Mor Chit Bus station. There should also be trains departing Hua Lampong. Will check again to see any info from my friends.

For car rental, try to get weekly rate cos' daily rate not worth it if you are going for at least 3-4 days.

Yes, Nakhon Sawan buses run from Morchit Station. I understand that most day time buses from BKK to Chiangmai will make a stop @ Nakhon Sawan, so you might not even see the name "Nakhon Sawan" on any of the signboards. Just go straight to counters that offer trips to Chiangmai and ask them if they stop by Nakhon Sawan.

Travel First Class, as always. The journey is about 5-6 hours.

I think I'm in deep shit gotta go now.
Joe, hope all works out well. No worries, if need be ..we can all be your alibi:smile: Btw, your lobster spaghetti looks aroi maag. Is this Bacco place near wine place or downtown?

KYP, Cbfc: Many thanks, appreciate heads up. Yes, I gathered it's northern terminal Mo Chit. Also guessed as much I may have to drop off in NS (or else end up Chiangmai!). Suppose I have to leg it to Mo Chit to buy darned bus ticket (1st class 24 seater only). Was hoping to book this online.

You can book the train via online:

As for bus, perhaps can consider booking through agents.

YY, I booked my bus ticket to Yasothon @ Esplanade Cinema. I called up Mo Chit and they directed me to the relevant bus operator. And I was told I could pay @ the Cinema counters @ Esplanade, which I did.

So you want peace of mind, I suggest you call up Mo Chit and tell them your plans. Let them direct you to the respective bus operators, and find out from the operators if they have any online booking or payment counters within inner Bangkok.

As for train, you can definitely book online.

As for bus companies, they have individual websites. The problem some may not have proper English site. It's always safer to call them as Thais don't really bother with web inquiries.

I show you a list of the Thai bus operators, but I will single out 3 most prominent ones:

The Transport Company
Green Bus
Nakhonchai Air

http://www.busstation.net/main/bustha.htm

Another one is Siam First Tour. They're not in the above list.

One day must try the oysters in BKK.....
Which type of oyster you referring?

Ok, if you want normal oyster, it's cheap and it's call hoi nang rom sod. If you want the bigger oyster, this will depend on restaurants. Order by pieces. For other type of oyster, go to walking street.
