Just to update,

Kate shared with me how Public Bank is very competitive as compared to the rest of the banks. Very good interest rates even for some recent inter bank comparison. She is always very fair and cares more for the customers welfare than her own $$$.

Very impressed, imagine you can call her for a quote and she tells you, this bank is better if you are in for long term, etc. Of course she will still push her bank but not overly pushy and will give you more information on which bank is better for which type of purchases.

Its a pity she is moving on, to OCBC i just got told. Good for OCBC to get a rare gem like this.
Good service should be remembered and stay in the memory more than bad service.

Thanks Bro Wuqi. I am with Public Bank as well. Heard rumours that they can calculate interest and installments better than the bumi-owned banks. We almost went with islamic banking (interest rate capped at 10 or 12%, cant rem) but decided to go with Public Bank in the end. Just for sharing..... (^_^)

Serene of Public Bank seemed ok too. She was helpful in advising me on getting a housing loan without a job as I had opted for early retirement few years ago. She advise I just need to have a bank statement showing I have the fund to get a housing loan(note I have not gone thru getting the loan this way yet as I am still at the stage of considering getting a JB prop)

Bypass the McDonalds today. A lot of construction going on but the whole place looks much better without all the cars. Also loads of parking space at Jusco too. Personally i like the bus terminal to be located at the cafe but now after looking at how the place has changed after the move, i think it really make a lot of cow sense for the terminal to be located near to people's houses rather than right smack in the shopping belt.

cheers.

I was afraid of that; I googled it and saw that it's together under Niks Professional. The Dr Ong seems to be very famous and is usually at Tampines. My wife will take 1/2 day to visit the good doctor; hopefully my wife can manage to see the doctor without waiting too long. Thanks bro euphony.

Hi vincent,

How much is the 320d tax free? I checked out the price online and normal 320d is rm333k
Hi HH, it's 520d and after removing the excise and sales tax, it's RM242,300... OTR price is RM333.8k and insurance is calculated on the OTR price, RM9800 inclusive of windscreen insurance. Road tax is RM377.50. From what I read, the 520d sips diesel and handles well; also has door closing issues and possibly an annoying sound when going over bumps. I was at the JB Auto Bavaria showroom; opened the bonnet of the 520i. After that wanted to close it, but couldn't even after slamming the bonnet down. The SE tried once, still couldn't close. After that she left it open because she didn't want to disturb the other customers. I find it amusing that a premium car has door and bonnet closing issues.

Use some handcream and avoid dishwashing liquid and bleach stuff for clothing for now. I hope that she recovers soon.
Thanks bro wuqi.

Just came back from Woodlands checkpoint, saw something funny at the MY immigration. A guy stuck his hand out to pay the Touch & Go; he waived it around for a few seconds in front of the T&G device but still couldn't detect. Finally he moved his hand nearer and the bar swung up. I was thinking, it says Touch & Go, not Wave & Go.... And then more than 10 cars passed by before he managed to inch the car out into the lane; quite challenging if he's gonna have this driving style in Johor.

Can someone please recommend a good lab for health screening close to HH / NI?

Also, it would be greatly appreciated if someone can give a name / two of good female Gynacologists. (Thanks Bro Wuqi but that clinic does not have a female Gyne.)

Have a great weekend everyone!

This is the reason why I am hesitant to get a diesel pick-up or car that is more than EURO II compliant since the diesel quality here in MY will likely damage the particulate filters in the EURO IV/V vehicles resulting in poorer fuel consumption, emission and sensor issues...

Also from what I understand, some BMW vehicles are assembled in Pahang which is why the price is lower due to reduced import duty.

on a slightly different note, it is unfortunate that the diesel is still a low quality in MY when about just about every car manufacturer are producing euro 5 specced engines..

Serene of Public Bank used this number +60 7 2346 859 when she called me. You should be able to reach her using this number.

Bro Wuqi, my pleasure!
