Whenever I read n re-read your postings about your growing-up years, my heart feels heavy. U truly epitomizes filial piety n indeed a role model to all children here (myself included).

As Sanur mentioned, may u be truly blessed.

Got, there are those who they hated and didn't love at all.

1. He still bought them houses and smiled when other neighbours thought that it was them who gave houses to him.
2. He just smiled when a relative said, you are lucky as your dad loves you so much, he must have seen you through to
university unlike my two sons whose dad just beats them up and never sent them to university.
3. He didn't say a word when his younger sister told him that he doesn't have a future after 30 years of age and should give up his
chance of furthering his studies so that she could. He continued to support the family while this sister goes after degree after
degree yet complains no one supports her and she has to study and work full time.
4. He took his parents to more than 6 countries so far including US and Korea
5. He paid 90% of all his fathers debts. Redeemed all the things that were taken away, before he upgraded his tv set, got his dads house a 50" one
6. Lions share of his dad and mum's household bills. 100% of utilities, phone and petrol all bourne by him.
7. He went to find his ancestors grave, hired men to clear the forest and renovated the grave. Only his younger sister chipped in.
8. He still pays the most out of every single trip to the doctors, joss stick shop and shopping plus pays the bulk of every big and small expenses that are related to relatives and extended family.
9. He brought his grandma and extended family out almost every week for 2 years straight. Most of the meals and expenses paid by him.

Despite all this, the dad remarked to his son's staff recently, i thought my son would never amount to anything as he is too softhearted,
hence i didn't groom him, i still hope my 2 daughters will be more successful as they are way smarter than him.

Despite hearing that, the son still took the dad and family for a holiday recently and still planning for another one as he had promised his
mum he will take her to Japan. He still remembers that promise.

This is not being fillial, this is doing the duty as a son and as a only son, thats what he must deliver.

The Japanese restaurant in Crystal Crown nearby is the best & authentic. Clientele mainly Japanese - did not realise there are so many of them working and staying in JB.

So if anyone can give a food review on the Cheelicous and Gianni Trat or others, pls let us know. .

can do u have the japanese restaurant name and its address?? my wife loves good japanese food and would like to give her a surprise this weekend....its our 10yr wedding anniversary.....

We tried Gianni before, really good food for reasonable prices. Went once with our neighbours in LF, everyone enjoyed the meal... went there 2nd time with my in laws and other families, all gave good comments for the quality, quantity and prices. Definitely a must try.

Another place u shld try is this French restaurant Chez Papa, (38 and 40 Jalan Jaya, Taman Maju Jaya, 80400 Johor Bahru (3 minutes from Plaza Pelangi). abit costlier than but still better than SG price, and food is good.

What is the pay like for a MY Driver? The MY car can be registered in your name?

Its normally 1k and lesser. Yes definitely you can drive a MY car and registration/insurance and road tax are no problem.

Last night we visited the local Pasar Malam at Pelangi area, for the first time.

Somewhat different from Sgp. They have stalls that sell fresh food such as seafood, fruits and vegetables. Even some of the provision shop food stuff.

The usual cooked food and clothing, toys etc.

We bought chicken cutlet (Uncle Bob), not bad Rm 5.5 per pc.

Jack fruits by weight Rm 6/kg

Chilli Tapioca Snack from the Kacang Puteh stall

There is a Pao stall (Ah Lie) which has a wide selection.

The answer is cannot. If any Malaysians can simply come in and out of Singapore on a daily basis, the Work Permit, S passes, Dependent pass, long term visit passes for Spouses will serve no purpose. The benchmark is 15 days per month.. or one month stretch they stay in Singapore and return to Malaysia for another month. Using a Malaysia passport to come in and out of Singapore everyday is a big NO-NO.

I played at the Pro-Am Iskandar Open yesterday. I was very impressed with the organisation, but the course is in very bad shape.. Really bad compared to a month ago.. Lots of water puddles and m&ds.... water drainage system is bad. Although poor maintenace is common for Malaysia golf course but I am surprised to see that at HH as HH is supposed to be a premier golf course. I think UEM need to wake up their idea... Either they are over complacent or they are simply too slack..

I wish the players or journalists will put this into press and force Garmuda/UEM to do something.. If not they are not fit to organise another Golf event the year after next.. Might turn up to be another Austin Hill Golf..

Initially had a terrible day heading into Horizon Hills for breakfast.. Around Jusco area while I was driving straight, one "ah-lian" came out from the small road and literally came crashing into my car.. its a good thing there is no car in my immediately lane. I honked and switched lane at the same time right as her car dashed into my space in less than a second! If I had a slow reflex, I would have died. Furthermore I did not speed up along the road and was travelling leisure at 60km/hour.

Ah lian is still not happy, came up right next to my car and show me the middle finger. Oh no early in the morning I had someone messing up my day! She was driving a Perodua Myvi ( not red and not black/white colour ). Be careful guys. There are really drivers out there who drive as if they are terrorists trying to perish together with you. I dont mind that they purchased their driving licence as we all know the driving licence in Malaysia can be "bought". But at the very least, drive with common sense!

Drove into the Clubhouse to catch some atmosphere of the Iskandar Open ( many would have noted the heavily police presence and police escorts around buses ferrying these participants for the past few days ).

HH is flattening out the land around the clubhouse next to the lake. I suspect they are trying to get themselves ready to launch other concept tamans such as Waterfalls, Canal, Island/Cove etc. Damn excited!

I have known a few people from big families being taken for granted like what you described.. Good that you are not the only one.. and when you know how bad is the feeling, make sure you won't do that to your children..

Nevertheless, the TiGong will always take care of those sincere folks who do good deeds.. Just keep doing and it is a privilege to be able to give more than to take.. hmmmm... but its common for malaysian drivers to drive in and out of sg on a daily basis to fetch their bosses kids to school in SG and back to MY.. wonder how they do it
