Chee Soon Juan really damn Suai to get his reputation smeared here like this for nothing.

I have seen much criticism on CSJ here, but the most damaging attacks are actually the ST articles written by ISD chua lee hoong. Those pieces have readerships close to a million, compared to a mere several thousand here in SBF.

Sex with girl, 13: Top poly student pleads guilt
y

A NANYANG Polytechnic student yesterday became the 12th male to be brought to court for having sex with an underage girl.

In 2008, the girl, then 13, told police of her sexual encounters with more than a dozen men.

Community Court Judge Soh Tze Bian called for a probation report for Jesper Lim Jun Hao, 21, and scheduled the next hearing for April 24.

Lim was arrested after the girl, who was hospitalised in the National University Hospital for stomach pain and vomiting in July that year, was found to be pregnant.

She admitted to a police officer that she had had sex with several men after she turned 12.

Her pregnancy was terminated but laboratory analyses so far indicate that none of the 12 men brought to court was the father of the aborted foetus.

Showflats to comply with stricter requirements

SHOWFLATS will have to be accurate representations of the finished apartment under proposed new rules being put forward to raise transparency.

Setting up a showflat is not a requirement for developers but if they do, they must comply with the changes said the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Singapore (URA) on Wednesday.

The URA is gathering public feedback on the changes with the new rules expected to come into effect later this year. This includes ensuring the floor area of the showflat is the same as the actual unit.

The Straits Times visited two showrooms on Wednesday and found they complied with most of the changes but there was still room for improvement.

The two-bedder showroom unit at Questa @Dunman condominium being developed by Hoi Hup Realty showed a fully-covered deck area with floor to ceiling windows.

Agents later clarified that the actual unit would only have waist-high glass walls with roof-covering for only the terrace area outside the master bedroom and living area.
