Youth nabbed after springing from girlfriend’s bed
KUALA LUMPUR: An uncle visiting his relative’s house felt suspicious when he heard sounds from his niece’s room, and upon barging in he found her lying naked on the bed. Upon questioning his niece, the 13-year-old girl confessed she was having a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old boy from school, who managed to escape.
However, the youth’s freedom was short-lived when police arrested the boy at his parents’ home in Hulu Kelang several hours later, following a police report lodged by the uncle. Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Abdul Jalil Hassan said the incident occurred on Oct 15 at around 1pm at the girl’s family home in Taman Keramat. “Upon questioning the girl, she admitted that they were lovers and had had sex several times in her room while her parents were at work,” he said.
ACP Abdul Jalil added that the girl had been sent to hospital for a medical check-up and was awaiting a medical report. “The boy was remanded for three days before being released on police bail. The case is being investigated under Section 376 of the Penal Code for statutory rape,” ACP Abdul Jalil said. He advised parents to keep a watchful eye on their children.
