My family kept secret recipe for half boiled eggs.
Eggs in metal tin, those zebra branded ones will do.
Add boiling water into tin, covering eggs completely.
Cover tin and time 3 mintues, after that remove cover let eggs sit for 5 mintues.
This will give u perfect half boil eggs.
Eggs should be room temperature and not straight from fridge.

Sounds like a good idea! Can use my electrical kettle instead of boiling, last time I tried using something like that and duration was longer but the eggs were still undercooked, probably because the eggs were straight from the friddge..

Don't half-boil eggs straight from the fridge. Before you go to sleep, take two (or whatever number requied) out of the fridge for the next morning.

Don't think I can remember to do something so well in advance but will at least take out for awhile next time :)

What if I have to do it last minute and quick? Then got no choice. Then how?

It's always been tricky.

I don't know. I always buy eggs in pack of ten and keep two outside and eight inside the fridge. Then replace those outside as they're consumed. When they're two or four left, then I buy another pack of ten.

Easy. Put them in a bowl of slightly warm (not too hot) water to balance the egg's temperature while you wait for your water to boil.

i dont like to drink from those coffeeshop, ya kun, kiliney. they use those beans which are roasted with salt and corn. dont like salty coffee.

those instant ones have a sour taste, u need to add creamer and lost of sugar to cover up the sour taste.

so no choice, i have to go buy powder without salt and corn from shops to make my own with a percolator, altho it can be quite troublesome.

Thanks for the writeup. No wonder I can't get used to local coffeeshop coffee.

McDonald's Boncafe is just right for me. Don't overpay for Starbucks though. At home, it's Nescafe 3-in-1 for me. :D

This ? alamak .... i drink this before. you must be kidding huh ?
Nescafe are a lot more better than this G7 . To finish the whole packets i need to mix with my other 3 in 1 kopi ... :o else wasted... :D

Yep. The outer box looks the same but the individual packet is not. Thy could have already improved the mix since. I've tried a lot of these premix and actually have given up on them. Nothing turns me off like bad coffee.

I now swear by G7 for 3-in-1. Of course there are the civet cat coffee from Vietnam too but I don't have the fortune to taste.

How about Indonesia coffee - Kapal Api - anyone know where to get this in Singapore? I bought them in Bali, very inexpensive, nice and pretty easy to make. The coffee powder will dissolve and sink to the bottom and no need to use filter bag.

It means Steamship brand, literally "fire" ship. Too bad I don't drink coffee regularly anymore. It's very fragrant.

Good to find someone else who appreciates this! Yes, very fragrant and convenient, better than drinking 3-in-1 as I don't add sugar.
