during my time a 69% constructed transom bridge (bailey bridge) fell into the ravine. the other platoon commander was too eager to launch it further out without ensuring there was enough counterweight on the near bank.

Omg you another sapper? Guys who've not built the Bailey are not real sappers.

infantry, signal, combat engineer, armor, armored engineer, engineer tank including avlb. was practically on courses for 2 years. most siong was avlb as only 2 crew per tank. we had to clean both tank and bridge everyday after going out in the m&d at sungei gudong. and if there was a track repair in the m&d, we had to clean all tools in the tool boxes as muddy tools got thrown in with clean ones. just cleaning and oiling the tools by themselves could take all night.

many sinkie women don't have a clue that many sinkie men have toiled late hours in the m&d defending their cheebyes which need cleaning and oiling.
