Xiaxue provokes such a strong negative reaction because she personifies everything which is wrong and rotten about Singapore women. She is shallow and self centered. She lusts after branded goods and is always "comparing" to show how good she is having it. She looks down on the poor and "uncool". Even worse is that despite having absolutely no idea of policy issues, she is hoping that she will be invited to tea and be considered for the position of a PAP MP.
The following is a interview which she did for PAP Petir:

Xiaxue (aka Wendy Cheng) is a prominent local blogger and a supporter of the PAP. While her blogs are mainly about beauty, fashion and personal lifestyle pieces, her political views have been the subject of strong attacks, especially in the run-up to the Hougang by-election. Opposition supporters have flamed her and her friends online, with sexual taunts and other insults. In a no-holds-barred riposte, Xiaxue revealed the faces behind these critics, exposing their real identities, along with those of their families. This post “Faces of haters” on her blog which has more than 100,000 followers and more than 40,000 visits a day, stirred up considerable controversy for its name-and-shame tactic. Petir caught up with Xiaxue, who lives in Aljunied GRC.
1. You said, “I hate that I have an opinion and a party I support.” Would you like to elaborate?
I feel that politics divide Singaporeans and it makes me feel disliked by my friends who have a differing opinion from me. I’m sure they feel the same way as well. Prior to this election I had no opinion about Singapore’s politics and neither did they. Over the course of years, you pick your friends based on whether you can accept their values and over personality similarities. Just when I thought I can accept all my friends for who they are, out pops something very important that
2. What is it about the PAP that you like?
I like that the PAP is made up of the country’s best and I trust them to do the best for my country. They have a proven track record and they made our country low crime, low corruption, if any at all, highly progressive and well, we are rich. A lot of people dislike the PAP because Singapore is getting too cosmopolitan for them, with higher costs of living stressing people out. I personally do not believe in slowing down or reversing our progress to becoming one of the top cities in the world. We cannot return to a kampong state... Yes it is stressful, yes it is tough – but we must progress WITH Singapore... Or get out. I believe that that is the attitude all Singaporeans should have. I like the Singapore that Singapore has become, and I wish for it to continue with PAP’s guidance.
3. Do you know of many young people who are supporters of the PAP? And do they think like you?
A good portion of my friends support the PAP but most people I know support the opposition. A lot of times PAP supporters tend to be very quiet because once they voice out their support they get attacked like crazy.
4. Have you any political ambition?
So far – no! :*:
5. Would you react the same way if you were similarly attacked again?
Yes, I will.
6. What are the positive things that came out of your recent online experience?
Other than an increase in publicity for me, I also had a lot of support from people who actually support the opposition. It is nice to be reminded that a lot of them are still nice, reasonable people because those anti-PAP people online usually sound very crude and
scary.
7. After your recent experience, do you think the internet should be regulated?
No, I believe it is capable of regulating itself.
