Holland-Chille and Spain-Australia are not callable. As the results have been determined, these are little better than friendlies where anything can happen.
Brazil will be going for a serious win against Cameroon. They need it to convince a skeptical home crowd - there will be hell to pay if they squeak through with a draw. The low odds however do not make any bets viable given the risk. The over bet offered by Pools is dumb - Brazil does not need more than a 2 goal superiority to go through. If Brazil wins by more than 2 goals, it will be more an accident than part of the plan (e.g. France 5-2 defeat of Swiss).
IMHO, Croatia-Mexico is the only match where there is a callable game that can bet. Both teams are fairly evenly matched. Pools has placed the over-round mainly on Croatia. Overseas, the difference in odds between the 2 teams is not statistically significant. My expectation is for the match to be similar to this morning's USA-Portugal. Tactics wise, both teams will go for early goals to establish a 2 goal superiority. If there are no goals scored, it will not be because they are not trying - it will be because they missed.
Seriously looking forward to your insight aurvandil.Betting is fun and all; but it's not when you are losing!Any thoughts on Spain Australia? Tough to predict given both are out but how about makan and over?
