Ricky Nelson child star. There's a sad story behind the song Garden Party. Its about when he performed at Madison Sq. Garden and got soundly booed off by the audience. He never recovered from that incident and din perform live ever again. :(

Good dig bro, thanks. Had always thought it was Marvin Gaye who sang it first. Any way Percy Sledge's version ain't too bad either. Sad to know Luther Ingram died on March 19, 2007 of heart failure at age 69.

I'm sure you've heard of the song "Wildflower" by Skylark before? David Forster, the famous record producer and his first wife, the mother of Amy Forster, an accomplished lyricist in her own right were members of the band.
