Woman knocked down by Nissan Skyline along Beach Road

A woman was knocked down by a Nissan Skyline GT along Beach Road at 4.45pm today (Sept 17).

STOMPer JT witnessed the accident and said that the driver had been recklessly racing with the driver of an Audi A4 before the collision occurred.
In the STOMPer's email, the STOMPer wrote:
"Two cars, a gray Nissan Skyline GT and a silver Audi A4 were racing and went really fast and reckless. They were changing lanes, from the first lane to the third lane and back again.
"I spotted them from Parliament Place towards St Andrew Road and then to Beach Road.
"The Nissan Skyline GT hit a woman. The silver Audi A4, which was also racing down the road, fled shortly after the accident.
"The driver of the Nissan Skyline, young man alighted, the vehicle and tried to help but the situation looked very serious.
"The woman who was hit, was not moving at all."

On monday, was driving along beach road, saw a similar colour skyline cutting my lane and cutting others. young driver also. It's an old skyline, if its the same skyline driver, think he should be hanged

This is the older R34(?) model, usually driven by ah beng racers because they can't afford the real GTR.

Ask around those people who used to be in the force to confirm this story. During the 90s, the TPs themselves drove highly modded sports cars. Then one incident involved LTA going down to their HQ wanting to tow their cars away. After that there was a big overhaul to the traffic police/LTA.

Yes, I remembered that.

Those who were racing back in the 90s will remember that a fair number of these street racers themselves were cops. Some claimed to be undercover when caught. Most of them drove souped up Civics as cars back then were still relatively expensive (high COE, 70% ~ 80% loan, 7 years cap).

LTA did try to take action on them after numerous tip offs from other unhappy members of public.
