A woman decided to support local hawkers by travelling from Ang Mo Kio to Maxwell Food Centre to order chicken rice but was left sorely disappointed.

Stomper Sally shared that she saw people posting about the chicken rice on Facebook, urging for customer support.

However, she believes the meal was not worth the trip.

"I drove all the way from Ang Mo Kio to Maxwell Food Centre to support the hawker and bought a $5 packet of chicken rice," she said.

But I view it she had good intentions to warn others to avoid kena such unethical hawker with no integrity.

Hawker - cheebye lang too. During this tough period, they could have added more ingredients to create more value to thank the ppl who support them. Fucking cheebyes should also try to learn how to take orders from food delivery services.

Not everyone is working and many have suffered losses and lost jobs etc but financial responsibilities are all still there. Some of the hawkers act pitiful now but when business is good, many how lian and bo chap about service or food quality. If their food is good, price reasonable (not necessarily cheap), people will still come. Examples are Roasted Paradise at Old Airport Road and Reimondo Seafood Congee at Pasir Ris. CB, HA or ABCDEFG also got long Q
