Fashion retailer Robinsons official officially launched its Marina Bay Sands store on September 14, showcasing its new Fall/Winter 2011 collection and two lifestyle concept boutiques.

Its fashion and accessories collection comprising over 60 brands sourced from around the world offers a one-stop shopping haven for shoppers.

Robinsons collaborated with the hit Broadway musical, Wicked, to stage a sneak preview of the show, which opens in Singapore in December.

The two leads of the show, Suzie Mathers and Patrice Tipoki Arkins, both 27, play the characters Glinda and Elphaba respectively.

The duo performed 'For Good', a hit song from the musical before the retailer opened its doors to invited guests.

Ms Mathers told AsiaOne the musical would appeal to a wide range of audiences, even those who do not usually watch theatre shows or musicals. She said: "It's a spectacle from beginning to end - the costumes, the lighting, the story. You're guaranteed to walk out going 'wow'... Everybody has heard of or seen the musicals 'Cats', and 'Phantom of the Opera'. 'Wicked' is the new one you have to see."

Today Suzie was a special guest at the Marina Bay Sands grand opening of Robinsons! She performed one of our favourite songs "For Good." Her first performance in Singapore and she is already adored I am sure!!

Cast change in from 12 Dec 2011

Wicked have announced that Gina Beck and Matt Willis taking over the roles of Glinda and Fiyero from 12 December 2011.

The pair are joined in the cast by Lillie Flynn as Nessarose, Christopher Howell as Doctor Dillamond and Adam Pettigrew as Boq. Desmond Barrit, who first starred in Wicked in 2008, returns to the role of The Wizard.

Why is it call dress circle seat for 2nd storey.
Please get the stall seats in singapore , not the dress circle or grand circle seats.

The seating in Stall seats for 250 dollars is bad for D16-D33 all the way to H16-D33, for $250 a pop, that is ridiculous.

For value for money go for J10-J11, J36-37, K11-K12, K36-K37 etc and all the way to O12-O13 and O36-O37. That is $165 a pop. Yeah that is the best seats for the money.

If you want to get $55 seats, you must bring a binocular 7x50 or 8x56 etc, the stage can be very dark, so if you do not have 50mm and above, you have problem seeing. 50mm is better than what your eye can make out in the dark.

Please note the sound system is not calibrate for $55 seat, so it can get very quiet, compare to stall seats.

Never get anything other than stall seats is my recommendation. The defying gravity piece only work well in stall.

I want to know the gift store. Will they have the glinda bear?

So far, i see it available only in Japan.

Will it be available in Singapore, it is not available in NYC and London.
