Think got some schools like that. But shouldn't upper sec be wearing long pants ?

can we talk about less-gay things like armpit hairs of sleeveless girl-school uniforms

With due respect of our fellow SB-fathers with daughters in sleeveless uniform school
Please don't post sec school girl uniform photos ... .. :)

Thought its a rite of passage to get long pants when you reach upper sec isn't.

Not that I know of. At my school it was optional so I always opted for shorts because it's far more suitable for the tropics.

Even in temperate NZ everyone wears shorts in summer once the temperature goes above 18 degC.

In the 34 degC heat of Singapore, shorts are definitely the way to go.

If they wear long pants many mosquitoes will go hungry

Seriously, I don't understand the obsession with dressing up smartly for work and school in such a climate. School boys still have it ok as their shirts are short-sleeved. When I worked I had to wear a suit and tie in this stinking weather. Fucking corporate culture kills productivity. If I had it my way, everyone especially the ladies can come in shorts and bermudas. We would prop up our legs on tables, drink teh-tarik in our singlets and get a hell lot more work done.

that is what happen when losers work for others... you cannot have your own identity.. if you got no balls to go out on your own, then for fuck complain about being controlled?

makes sense but most school in sg still require long pants for upper sec even in this climate lol.

From what I understand school uniforms are suppose to eliminate elitism in our schools:D
The theory is that when everyone uses the same uniforms there is equality:rolleyes:

I think this is funny because Sporeans are very class conscious & when I was in school everyone knew who were the richie riches. Some teachers were even extra nice to these kids

The funny thing is that jeans were not permitted even though they are cheaper & more durable than ordinary uniforms. I went through school wearing tailored pants:)

I have even seen some school uniforms that require students to wear ties:eek: The things some adults educatores do to the poor kids.

ah RUN wore tie on every Monday to school when he was young,
maximum handsome when he unbuttoned the top collar-button with his tie on
dunno charmed how many girls back then. :)

Tony is right. This time.

The student I saw wearing the tie had it loosened for comfort. So it ended up looking messy.

Doubt that girls are impressed by uniforms. Don't really know since I was from an all male school. In Spore the elite schools are all males or females. They are only exposed to the opposite sex at the Pre-U/college level.

Wearing the same uniform do not mean equality . If they want to show equality then school bags , shoes , socks ect must be the same too . The reason for wearing school uniform is to show people which school they are from ;)
