Why juicing helps with diabetes, cancer,...

Finally opened the juicer this evening, had bought a bunch of veges and fruits to juice starting tomorrow. Will give feedback tomorrow morning.

Frog...why didn't you buy Coway instead?

My first juicing, 8am, prepared quite a lot

The veges

Some fruits

The juice

The dried left overs

Made a mess

I have have to admit I quite like it. Made 3 cups of around 500ml for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Don't misunderstand that I'm not eating other stuff, this juice is to supplement lack of vege intake.

Cheers

Fruits contain too much fructose which is bad for diabetics.

Also, I am careful about where my fruits come from. Eg You will be shocked to find that the apples that I grow at my hobby farm has 3 times more nutrients than one imported into Singapore.

Also, the quality of the fruit is important, soil conditions should be optimal so that the fruit is growing healthy.

Sick soil produce sick fruit, using wrong fertilisers can make the soil sick.

When humans eat sick food, it cause problems for humans.

fructose is not bad for diabetics. the problem is your body will store it in the liver and you end up with fatty liver with the excess sugar the liver cannot handle.

Juices don't keep very well, even if you store them in the frige. So remember to juice only what you can consume.

Johnny333, saw it in YouTube that this type of juicing can store 24hrs is this true? If not what happen if I store 10 hrs is it ok?

This morning juiced again.

You can of course store it but to do so would mean losing some of the nutrients.

If you want to store it must be in an air tight container. Filled to the top without an air pocket. In a refrigerator,....etc

In my opinion quite alot of bother. That's why I only have it in the mornings, at home. Or at night, also at home & freshly made & consumed within 5 minutes of juicing. If I am going to go to the trouble of juicing I want to maximise the benefits.

Best to have it on an empty stomach because it will help with absorption of the nutirents.

Someone told me that veges or fruits after cut up also lose nutrients and vitamins quickly, is this true?

Ok, post my last photo cos readers may get bored, today's concoction is green apple, bitter gourd, carrot, rose apple, lime, green veges and flowers

Unfortunately it is true. Cooking also destroys the nutrients. The un-organic veggies you find at the supermarket may look good but have very lower nutrient values than in the past. I am willing to spend on organic produce because I know that when I juice it I am consuming it with little wastage.

That is why you have the growing popularity of raw diets. Some of the supplements I am taking consist of raw organic ingredients e.g. http://www.iherb.com/search?kw=garden+of+life&x=0&y=0#p=1

Wow, I saw Jambu sia. Never tried before. Carrot tried before. Not bad. Have an old tefal juicier. Think will try out over next few days. But first have to find out where is the juicier. :D

Juicing takes time & effort & not everyone is prepared to do it. However when one gets older & stop taking their health for granted they may think differently:)

Just so you guys know that the Hurom HU-700 I purchased here in Thailand cost 11,500 baht or S$440. A friend last week told me its selling S$888 at Takashimaya

This is double! So for those who intend to buy or change your old juicer and have plan to go Thailand do consider to get it there. I lugged back 2 units yesterday for my family here and that friend (helped him buy), its only 9kg each carton

This morning first juicing here
