Why is this foreigner only jailed 5 yrs for trafficking half kilo of heroin?

Is thre a diff bet drug trafficking and drug possession ? Both punishable by death ?

only under certain amount limit of drugs will be charge drug possession . and also must depends the drug accused whether the drugs are for own use or for sale .

it is not difficult to commute a death sentence to life imprisonment. but our great leaders don't want to waste public resources giving free room and board for life to hardcore criminals. and forced prison labour to make the inmate pay for their keep, is not fashionable internationally.

so how mr Koh? should we spend more money to give free room and board to all the drug traffickers?

for your information all inmates serving more then one year sentence are working their ass off in gardiner bread factory in prisons . theres many job for inmate to work and earn themselves weekly pay of less then $10 ..dont forget your goverment is a businessman so he know how to make use of ppl as for the food those inmates eat are NTUC left over and some food are donated by company ...basically the goverment pay nothing

Actually this is nothing...my lawyer frd told me of a case in American ..in thw 1990s

Quenton Brown robbed a store for $117 and a cheerie pie.. He was sentenced to an incredible 30 years without parole.

Now...Wlliam Leblond, ex-son.in-law of former Presedient George Bush... drive under the influence of alcohol and also caught for possession of marijuana at the time..
was fined $25 and jailed for day.

See. the inconsistency ..and the difference sentence for the rich and connected...

Agree with Drifter. The place is a fucking industrial complex. SEA's bakery, laundry etc. Heavy workshop, car panels, horticulture, high end rosewood furniture etc.

The only thing missing is an EDB branch office. All the airlines flying and out of Singapore have their linen done in Changi.
