but quality is markedly different between a rich and a poor.
if you are poor, u need to wait in the queue even for a CT scan, or worse, the docs in public hospital are under strict guidelines not to order one unless u are really going to die. its all about dollars and cents to the PAP govt.

to be crude, a citizen's quality of medical care depends on how much money one has.

How long is the queue?
CT scans are expensive and destructive because of the radiation n should be used carefully. Even if you are a billionaire, don't anyhow use CT scan.

Pay and Pay policies often make us the laughingstock when we try to measure ourselves with other not so rich countries like Malaysia or even Thailand. Some say Canada is good.

The pap and pay policies has always been there. Except that they have been hitting selected pockets of the population. Only those who need to use their medisave to pay for the follow up consulation services were hit.

That we need to pay to use our own money in the Medisave is really rubbish.

Ditto for COE and the domestic helper foreign worker levy.

It does not help that the 154th prostitutes are busy doing damage control as well as avoiding such issues.

Go check thru the website and see where they mentioned how much one is covered. I gone thru the website and I could not find any. Instead I found lots of grey areas specifically:

1. Your family must foot the bill before approaching assistance from Medifund.

2. How much help? Depends. What a PR reply! Can't we have something more affirmative?

3. When will help arrive? After a "Medifund Committee" has considered. Meantime, if you die your business?

4. Finally to answer your question about no Medisave or Medishield - Pls refer to para 12 for an answer.
