<!-- START OF : div id="storytext"--><!-- more than 4 paragraphs -->I REFER to last Friday's Forum Online letter by Mr Lim Swee Tian ('TV serials: Disappointed by switch from Cantonese to Mandarin') and thank him for his support of StarHub TV. We have since contacted him to address his concerns.
As Mr Lim pointed out, StarHub TV recently launched a new feature that allows customers to catch up on the programmes they have missed via On Demand channels. We regret the short notice given to our customers and hope to take this chance to share more about the present VV Drama On Demand with Mr Lim and other readers.
Previously, VV Drama customers had to pay an additional $4.28 (with GST) per month to watch selected programmes in advance and in dual audio (Mandarin or Cantonese) on VV Drama On Demand.
To give more VV Drama customers greater value, we removed this $4.28 subscription fee and introduced a new feature for customers to catch up on the programmes they have missed or would like to relive over seven days after each programme's first telecast via the On Demand channel.
As the audio for Hong Kong serials has to follow closely what is currently available on VV Drama, dual audio is unavailable for these programmes.
We understand that some customers such as Mr Lim may wish to watch programmes in advance and in dual audio. Hence, we wish to inform them that they can enjoy their favourite Hong Kong serials in advance and in dual audio (Mandarin or Cantonese) on a per-serial or per-episode basis via Demand TV's Video-On-Demand platform.
Each episode is available at a one-time subscription fee of $1.07 (with GST) for our existing StarHub TV customers with unlimited viewing over a certain time period. Customers can also enjoy a 10 per cent discount if they subscribe to an entire drama serial.
For more information, customers can refer to www.starhub.com/demandtv.
We thank Mr Lim for his valuable feedback and hope he will continue to enjoy the quality content on StarHub TV.
