Decrease in WP votes during GE15 was due to national swing which cause an overwhelming sympathy votes for PAP. As a result many opposition parties were reduced to a mere sub 30% which consist mostly of hardcore opposition voters.

If 25% is the base support for opposition, then WP aj team still managed to retain most of the middle ground voters who voted them during GE11. Not too bad given the overall national tsunami where we see pap capturing almost all centrist votes.

Also to note WP TC issue that the main focal point of pap offensive didn't seem to affect WP in AJ GRC.

GE15 was an anomaly due to lky factor..I expect some backflow of votes for oppositions in the coming election.
