Thanks for reviving the economy a bit and putting some smiles on the car salesman face who had been looking deathly for the last 2 months...

So easy to manipulate the market as there are ready suckers every minute.

As sure as the sun will rise, there will be someone whose eyes suddenly turn green as they swallow their sour grapes. In fact we should rejoice and share their luck as they are able to beat the system.

As we all know, PAP gahment and its scholars usually come up with a system that is hard to beat.

If you didnt go in the last round and went in this time you may not be better off. Those who had gone in the last round would had enjoy generous rebate from the car companies. take for example Kah motor was selling their Honda civic 1.6 at 70k rebate pact at 10,000 so those who bought would had gotten their car at 60k however the price of civic 1.6 is now around 67k but rebate at ard 3k.

Agree. $2 COE even if you got it, in future when you sell the car, value also lower as the COE he gotten is lower compared to those who bought the car at higher COE price.
So in a nutshell is not much difference. Illusions.
However $2 COE is indeed attractive for those who do not have a car and wish to buy and can well afford it as finance might not even loan 85%.
Those who have a present car and wish to change because of the drop in COE, then they must definitely be nuts at this point of time:wink:

but $2 COE only benefits those who have already booked their car the last round....if these jokers going now that means it will only push the COE up again...

Just early this year, those white scum are complaining about congestion, more ERP gantries. Just scrap the COE system and put up more gantries. Simplify the road system using the downturn window opportunity.
