buying tv in S'pore is easier than ever...................
if you want the best..............buy Sony................since Panasonic not available now..................LG is better than Samsung................no reason to buy China brands............
Sharp and Toshiba are not Japanese now...................

They are all made in China and don't last more than a couple of years, so I would suggest getting the cheapest with the best specs
Korea, LG brand. It's Web OS software and control is most user friendly and intuitive.
Do NOT buy a smart TV.
Don't ever buy a TV if you are watching only Mediacorpse channels
Nobody needs a TV. A large monitor is all you need. Hook it up to Apple TV or similar hardware and you're good to go.
I went to audio house, they have a large section promtoing hisense (from china). Saw a few malay familes looking at the brochures, lol!
I am not a fan of apple. Using a large monitor will require you to add additional gadgets like DVB digital tv receiver, digital antenna and a setup box. So more cost saving and flexible, are your points?
