I keep them for their grace and beauty, not for any auspicious reasons. They can be eaten, and were eaten in the days before they became a protected species under CITES. But they are very bony. Fish will lots of scales tend to be bony.Does rearing an arowana bring you luck?
I see many Chinese Towkays like to keep this ugly looking fish.
Can it be eaten?
Let me guess, now you're going to ask me what is CITES?
