Their strategy is mass immigration of foreign workers as a quick solution to maintain economic growth, but ignores the significant drawbacks. Even if these new residents become SG citizens, they are also likely to have low birth rates, owing to the shortage of space and extremely high cost of living. It seems like our leaders will continue importing foreign workers until our population reaches 10 million. In densely populated SG, mass immigration is going to increase stress levels, competition for jobs and school places, and making this city unliveable.
