When inflation goes up, your CPF savings shrink

Question... If CPF is your money, then how come when you withdraw from CPF to buy a house, you need to pay back your CPF with interest when the house is sold? Shouldn't it be just put back whatever you took?

If I take money from my DBS account to buy something, I lose the opportunity to earn interest. Does the bank tell me I owe them interest that could be earned when I try to make a deposit?

yup, peesai is the only country in the world where you owe yourself money......... and i am not joking

CPF is hidden taxation, not savings. It's not like the USA's 401k.

Stop being gaslighted by their deceptive language. Another one: 'home ownership'.
